Like the weather in the Texas Panhandle, the harvest can be a toss-up; sometimes you reap most of what you sow, sometimes you reap a lot less.
This season, an early rain prevented farmers from planting more cotton and an early hailstorm destroyed some corn. On the bright side, sorghum came out pretty well overall despite the aphids, and winter wheat is looking to be gangbusters.
But for most farmers, there’s always some catch, isn’t there?
